# MOLI: Multi-Operation Lean Intelligence

> MOLI (Multi-Operation Lean Intelligence) is production-floor software for regulated and contract manufacturers, developed by Perdix Software, Inc. of Rochester, New York. MOLI replaces paper travelers, binder instructions, and manual sign-off sheets with a network of industrial touchscreen kiosks managed from a web dashboard: the right instruction to the right person at the right machine, and a record of what happened. MOLI is not an ERP, MES, or QMS replacement; it is the layer that connects those systems to the people who do the work.

## Product Overview

MOLI consists of:

1. A **web-based administrative dashboard** for configuration, content authoring, and reporting.
2. A network of **touchscreen kiosks** deployed at workcenters, entrances, and other points of activity on the production floor.
3. **Digital signage** displays for facility-wide awareness.
4. **Integrations** with ERP, MES, QMS, document management, machine, and identity systems.
5. **Implementation services**: the guided process of configuring and deploying MOLI for a specific customer's processes and compliance requirements.
6. **Training services**: development and delivery of a training plan covering all key MOLI features for all key personnel.

Every MOLI deployment is dedicated to one customer on its own server: no shared infrastructure, no shared tenants. Deployments run on Amazon Web Services with daily backups to a separate region and 24×7×365 uptime monitoring with human escalation. Typical time to go live is four to six weeks; a pilot is live in thirty days.

### MOLI: Multi-Operation Lean Intelligence

_advanced production floor systems for regulated and contract manufacturers_

> **Initial Pilot Deployment in 6–8 weeks.** Layers with and augments your existing systems — not a rip-and-replace project.

**Less administration. More manufacturing.**

Paper travelers, binder instructions, and manual sign-off sheets got you here. They work — until they don't, and when they don't, the cost shows up in your yield, your audit, or your customer relationship.

MOLI replaces the whole stack with a network of industrial touchscreen kiosks managed from a web dashboard: the right information, to the right person, at the right machine — automatically — integrated.

- **89%** — Compliance burden reduction
- **35%** — Operator productivity gain
- **60%** — Faster issue resolution

#### MOLI Emergency Alerts

_critical public safety alerts and life-saving information_

**Critical Public Safety Alerts — Direct to Your Production Floor**

MOLI Deployments in the United States are connected to the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) Integrated Public Alert and Warning System, or IPAWS.

IPAWS provides emergency and life-saving information to the public. MOLI ensures that your employees receive these critical notifications at their workstations — even if their phones are in their lockers and the radio's off.

![A FEMA IPAWS emergency alert as displayed on a MOLI kiosk](https://www.perdixsw.com/static/literature/features_ipaws/IPAWS.PNG)

##### How it Works

MOLI pulls the public IPAWS data feed and determines whether each alert on the feed applies to your MOLI System based on geography and your configured alerting options.

If the alert applies, MOLI displays it system-wide until it disappears from the feed.

Alerts can be configured based on message type, category, urgency, severity, certainty, and response type.

##### About IPAWS

IPAWS was established in 2006 under Executive Order 13407 as a national alerting system to quickly and reliably provide authenticated emergency and life-saving information to the public via publically-accessible technologies. Today, more than 1,500 federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial alerting authorities use IPAWS to send critical alerts within their jurisdictions. The system delivers alerts about imminent threats to life or property, Presidential alerts, AMBER alerts, and more.

IPAWS supports multiple types of message delivery. Through the Emergency Alert System (EAS), alerts are delivered through radio and television broadcasts. Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEAs) are broadcast from cell towers to all devices in range. Other technologies, including Digital Highway Signs and NOAA Weather Radio are also supported.

#### MOLI Integrated Telephony

_email · SMS · voice · overhead page · fax_

**MOLI doesn't just watch the floor — she speaks up when the floor needs it.**

Every MOLI deployment includes an email address and phone number. That sounds like table stakes — and it mostly is. What matters is what MOLI does with them: routing escalations to the right supervisor before production stops, calling attention to a training gap before an auditor does, notifying visitors' hosts the moment someone signs in, and pushing production alerts to wherever your team actually pays attention.

Email, SMS, voice call, and overhead page — outbound, on every event that matters.

##### Outbound Notification Channel Matrix — what triggers what

Email, SMS, voice call, and overhead page are included in every MOLI deployment; fax is optional.

- Escalations
- Production Notifications
- Visitor Arrival
- Training Exceptions
- Alerts
- MFA / 2FA Codes
- Compliance Records

> **Full transmission log included.** Every outbound email, SMS, voice call, and fax is logged with timestamp, recipient, trigger, and delivery status — visible on the MOLI Transmission Log digital signage panel and exportable for audit. Nothing disappears into the ether.

##### Delivery notes and channel guidance

- Email
- SMS
- Voice Call
- Overhead Page
- Fax (optional)

> **Every notification is a record. Every record is auditable.** In a regulated manufacturing environment, communication is documentation. When an escalation was raised, who was notified, and when they were notified — that's not a conversation; it's evidence. MOLI logs every outbound message with trigger context, recipient, channel, timestamp, and delivery status, connected to the Job Pack and Device History Record for full traceability. When an auditor asks how a critical issue was escalated and resolved, you have a complete, timestamped thread — not a verbal account.

##### When the phone rings — inbound call handling and the Simple PBX

- Configurable greeting — a recorded message plays on answer and sets caller context for your organization
- Time and temperature announcements — callers hear current facility conditions without pressing zero
- General business information — hours, location, and critical notices delivered automatically
- Call routing menu tree — direct callers to the right department or extension without a live operator
- Extension-based routing — map extensions to people, voicemail, or back to MOLI workflows

##### What it is — and what it isn't

- MOLI's telephony is purpose-built to support operational workflows — escalations, production alerts, visitor notifications — not to replace a business phone system
- For most deployments, operators and supervisors will never interact with the PBX directly; the value is entirely in outbound event-driven messaging
- The inbound PBX is a practical bonus: one number handles both directions, and callers aren't met with silence or a dead end
- All outbound activity is logged in detail and surfaced in the MOLI Transmission Log digital signage
- The “Transmit Test Messages” toolbox lets administrators verify email, SMS, and voice deliverability at any time

#### MOLI Production Notifications

_triggered notifications based on job, form, or machine data changes_

**Reduce incident response times with timely automatic notification of problems seen in production.**

Automatically receive notifications when manual (form), machine (API), or job action data meet certain criteria.

Track problems over time, identify their root causes, and determine necessary prevention steps.

![MOLI Production Notifications: a rule that emails a person when a machine API process state changes from Run to Error](https://www.perdixsw.com/static/literature/features_production-notifications/Production-Notification-Rule.png)

#### MOLI Radio Frequency Monitoring

_for manufacturing · monitor · record · transcribe · analyze_

> **Every call on every channel, recorded, transcribed, searchable, and lined up with production.**

**The Plant Talks on the Radio. Now the Record Does Too.**

MOLI RF Monitor

For operations, the missing timeline. For EHS, the incident record. For compliance, proof of what each license is for.

![The MOLI RF Monitor screen listing recorded and transcribed radio transmissions by channel](https://www.perdixsw.com/static/literature/features_rf-monitoring/RFMonitorHero.png)

##### Suppose You Run a Large Manufacturing Campus…

You hold a few FCC licenses across a few bands. Some were filed decades ago. Nobody is certain which still carry traffic, whether the radios on the charger are on the right channel, or what was said on Channel 5 in the minutes before the forklift hit the rack.

MOLI RF Monitor answers from the air. Every call becomes a timestamped transcribed record you can search and correlate.

##### What You Get:

- A complete record.
- Searchable speech.

- Who keyed up.
- Conversations, not just calls.
- Context from the floor.

##### How It Works:

1. Antenna on the roof.
2. The box listens.
3. Every call is captured
4. Speech becomes text
5. Into MOLI

> **Bring Your Frequencies. We'll Bring the Rest.** A deployment starts with your licenses and your channel list. We size the receivers to your bands, build the box, and tune the vocabulary to your plant. The first transcribed call is usually the same afternoon.

### Manufacturing & Quality

The job, the item, the transaction, the form, and the nonconformance, captured where they happen.

#### MOLI Forms

_collect data from the production floor_

**Enter it once. MOLI does the rest.**

MOLI Forms save time, produce records that satisfy your auditors, and eliminate the costs and risks of manual data transcription.

Signatures can't be forgotten. Timestamps can't be wrong. Connected devices log automatically alongside manual entries, and nobody has to decipher anybody's handwriting or re-enter anything.

> **MOLI Digital Signage Integration** The Forms

##### Form Response Data

MOLI provides robust interfaces to view and analyze form response data on a per-Form and per-Job basis.

Additionally, form response data are easily exportable on-demand or continuously.

- MOLI Data Export
- MOLI Integrations

##### Compliance-Ready by Design

A paper form can leave the building, get buried under a stack, or become illegible from machine oil and handling. A MOLI form response is timestamped, attributed, indexed, and searchable from the moment it's submitted.

- Signatures can't be forgotten
- Timestamps can't be wrong
- Paperwork can't be lost
- No deciphering handwriting
- No missing entries
- Corrections are traceable

> **Cleanroom Compatible** Paper introduces particulates. In cleanroom and controlled-environment manufacturing, paper-based documentation is a contamination risk that digital forms eliminate entirely. MOLI Certified Kiosk Devices are available in cleanroom-compatible and IP-rated configurations.

#### MOLI Items

_digital profiles for everything your operation handles_

**Raw materials, components, and finished goods — with critical attributes, BOMs, instructions, and traceability built in.**

Every item carries its linked work instructions, quality forms, and critical attributes — available at the workcenter when the job calls for it.

Full barcode support and interlinking throughout MOLI ensure that key traceability connections work for you.

![MOLI Items: a Production Kiosk job showing the Item Overview tab with item type, dimensions, weight, and vendor](https://www.perdixsw.com/static/literature/features_items/Production-Kiosk-Job-Item-Overview.png)

#### MOLI Job Transactions

_real-time production recording that feeds your ERP automatically_

**Good parts, scrapped parts, scrap reasons — recorded at the moment they happen, cross-referenced across systems.**

Good scrap data with reasons is the foundation of meaningful continuous improvement.

In MOLI, First Pass Yield updates live. Transactions sync back to your connected ERP, eliminating the manual re-entry that introduces errors and lag.

![MOLI Job Transactions: the Add Job Transaction form with completed and scrapped counts, scrap reason, and lot number](https://www.perdixsw.com/static/literature/features_job-transactions/Job-Transaction-Add.png)

##### How It Works

MOLI provides interfaces for operators to enter part counts, including scrapped parts by scrap reason.

As Good / Not Good parts are counted and contained during the manufacturing process, MOLI Job Transactions create an interlinked record of counts with scrap reasons regardless of source.

- Operators report good parts + scrap at each workcenter…
- Machines automatically report scrap via their APIs…
- Another system is aware of yet more scrap…

As transactions are recorded, MOLI keeps everything updated, and lets you get the complete picture.

#### MOLI Jobs

_production execution that maximizes throughput_

**Digital Job Travelers. Done Right.**

Jobs flow from your ERP into MOLI automatically — no manual creation, no data entry lag.

As team members interact with a job, MOLI delivers required training, work instructions, and data entry forms dynamically based on role and context.

The Job Pack Export captures every interaction — who did what, when, and on which revision.

Every record carries the Job, Item, Machine, Workcenter, Kiosk, and Shift involved automatically, plus who reported it — no re-typing what MOLI already knows.

Key actions — filing the record, disposition, verification — go through the same reauthentication flow used everywhere else in MOLI, optionally capturing a photo at that exact moment. The record is tied to a real person standing at the machine.

##### Corrective Action, Closed Loop

Corrective Actions follow a structured 8D-style workflow — Problem Description, Containment, Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Action, Implementation, Verification, Prevention, and Closure — with due dates and overdue tracking, and a required effectiveness verification step before a CAPA can close.

Root causes are categorized against a shared Root Cause Reason list, so recurring failure modes surface as a Pareto chart — and every CAPA links back to the Nonconformances, Complaints, and RMAs it actually addresses.

##### The Numbers Leadership Actually Wants

The MOLI Quality Dashboard reports Cost of Quality, First Pass Yield, Defects Per Million, and Escape Rate live, alongside Average Days to Close and a Root Cause Pareto — the same figures you'd otherwise wait for someone to build in a spreadsheet before your next management review.

One ribbon shows the whole flow at a glance: Production feeds Issues (Nonconformances, Complaints, RMAs), and Issues feed Corrective Action — so a new hire and a twenty-year Quality veteran read the same picture the same way.

##### Built for the Audit, Not Just the Incident

Customer complaint handling follows 21 CFR 820.198 directly: device and lot/serial identification, complainant information, investigation dates and findings — or a documented reason none was needed — MDR reportability, and the reply sent back to the complainant, all as structured fields instead of a paper file waiting to go missing.

Every record — and every change to it — is captured automatically. When it's time for an audit, you're ready.

> **MOLI Digital Signage Integration** The Quality Overview Digital Signage displays the same Dashboard ribbon, Cost of Quality, First Pass Yield, and Recent Activity feed — keeping the whole team informed.

> **MOLI Integrated Photography** Reporting and closure photos can be captured directly on a MOLI Certified Kiosk Device or with the MOLI Desktop App.

> **MOLI Audit Log Integration** Every Nonconformance, Complaint, RMA, and Corrective Action — and every change to it — is logged automatically.

### People & Training

Who is qualified to run what, proven at the kiosk, written down as it happens.

#### MOLI Assessments

_prove operator competence automatically_

> **Customizable digital quizzes that generate permanent compliance records automatically.**

**Prove Operator Competence. Automatically.**

Attach assessments to any instructions — training is verified where it happens.

Flexible scoring with configurable pass thresholds and built-in remediation workflows keep your team sharp and your records clean.

![MOLI Assessments: an operator taking a required kiosk assessment with three multiple-choice questions](https://www.perdixsw.com/static/literature/features_assessments/Assessments_Take_NoAck.png)

##### Building and Delivering Assessments

Create assessments using true/false and multiple-choice questions. Multiple-choice questions support an extended description, and grading can require all correct answers or accept any one of them — configurable per question.

Assessments carry their own revision field and link directly to a set of instructions. When an operator loads those instructions at a kiosk, the attached assessment triggers automatically. If Job Reassessment is enabled, the assessment requirement resets with every new job, producing a discrete, per-build assessment record.

Assessments must be approved before operators can take them. Once approved, the record is locked for editing, protecting the integrity of your compliance documentation. Clone and revise when the process changes.

##### Scoring and Pass Thresholds

A system-wide minimum passing score is set in Training Configuration. Individual assessments can override this threshold.

Scores are calculated and recorded the moment the operator submits. A passing result is automatically resolved and written to the record. A failing result is flagged as unresolved and — if configured — requires supervisor resolution.

##### Remediation and Supervisor Resolution

When Require Failure Resolution is enabled, a supervisor must reauthenticate at the kiosk and formally resolve a failed result. A resolution comment is required and written to the record. Operators cannot resolve their own failures — the system enforces the second-person requirement automatically.

If Same-Kiosk Certification is configured, the supervisor must resolve at the same physical kiosk where the assessment was taken, ensuring that re-training was delivered in the right location.

##### Integrated Logging and Audit Compliance

Every assessment result — pass, fail, resolved, or pending — is stored permanently, timestamped, and tied to the operator, assessment version, instructions version, kiosk, and job — satisfying audit requirements for documented evidence of competency across regulated industries.

##### Integrated Photography

All MOLI Certified Kiosk Devices can take pictures as part of Assessment workflows.

Camera behavior is independently configurable for the assessment event and the resolution event: none, automatic snap, prompted photo, or both — for environments where photographic evidence of the assessment is required.

> **MOLI Digital Signage Integration** All unresolved assessment failures appear on the "Unresolved Assessments" Digital Signage panel.

> **MOLI Smart Stacklight Integration** When assessment failures are unresolved at a workcenter, its stacklight color pattern includes BLUE

> **Email Integration** MOLI can send hourly emails listing all unresolved assessment failures — to shift supervisors, a list of additional recipients, or both.

#### MOLI Instructions

_electronic work instructions delivered where work happens_

**Right Instructions. Right Person. Every Time.**

MOLI Instructions replace paper travelers and shared-drive documents with revision-controlled, role-filtered EWI delivered at the point of work.

Role-specific, revision-controlled, template-driven instructions ensure consistency.

Only the instructions relevant to the logged-in roles and current job are shown.

![MOLI Instructions: an operator viewing a revised procedure with a new-revision notice and ten tabbed steps, one with a photo](https://www.perdixsw.com/static/literature/features_instructions/Instructions-Operator.png)

##### How it Works

Instructions are authored using templates — structured forms that enforce consistent formatting across your operation. Each set is scoped to an item, machine, workcenter, operation, and role. Operators at the kiosk see only the instructions relevant to them and their current job.

Instructions carry a revision label and revision date. An approval workflow locks instructions after sign-off. When a revision changes, prior training records are preserved — and operators are re-routed to re-verify if your policy requires it.

> **Pairs with MOLI Assessments and MOLI Training Verifications** Attach an assessment to any set of instructions and training becomes a scored competency event. Require acknowledgement or supervisor certification and every operator sign-off becomes a permanent electronic record.

#### MOLI Skill Matrix

_know who is qualified to run what, right now_

**Real Skill Data. No Spreadsheets.**

Define skills, assign levels, and let supervisors record proficiency directly at the kiosk — with a timestamped, signed record for every level-up.

Skill Matrices group related skills into a single live view. Display them on MOLI Digital Signage and the entire floor knows exactly who can run what.

![MOLI Skill Matrix: a grid of operators and skills with proficiency levels from Trainee to Senior](https://www.perdixsw.com/static/literature/features_skill-matrix/SkillMatrix.png)

ISO 9001 and related quality standards require determining the competency of persons affecting product quality and retaining records as evidence. MOLI Skill Matrix helps you meet the standard — and act on gaps before they become nonconformances.

##### Skills, Levels, and Leveling Up

Skills are defined once and carry five proficiency levels: Trainee, Trained, Advanced, Master, and Senior. Each level represents an increasing milestone, from someone newly assigned to the process to someone capable of training others.

Supervisors confirm operator proficiency levels during actual work observation. When a supervisor "Levels Up" an operator's Skill Level, they reauthenticate and MOLI captures who, where, and when. Every entry is permanent, timestamped, and attached to the operator's training history.

Camera behavior at these events is configurable — none, automatic photo snap, prompted picture, or both — for environments where photographic evidence of the assessment is required.

##### Skill Matrices

A Skill Matrix groups related skills into a single view. Multiple matrices can exist and be displayed independently.

The matrix shows every person who holds each level for each skill.

Coverage gaps and key-person dependencies surface right away, before they affect quality or scheduling — and operators can see a clear skill growth development plan.

> **MOLI Digital Signage Integration** Skill Matrices are available as a MOLI Digital Signage panel and can be added to any rotating display in your facility.

#### MOLI Timeclock

_attendance capture · timecard review · payroll export · evacuation headcount_

**A Fully-Integrated Timeclock. Available on any MOLI Kiosk.**

MOLI's Timeclock Kiosk lets employees record their work and break activity and review their timecards, and exports its punch data to your payroll provider.

![MOLI Timeclock: a touchscreen kiosk showing an employee's Clock In button, View Timecards, and a live attendance summary](https://www.perdixsw.com/static/literature/features_timeclock/MOLIHeroTight_Timeclock.png)

#### MOLI Training Verifications

_electronic acknowledgment and certification of training_

**No More Manual Sign-Off Sheets. Automated Records. Right at the Workcenter.**

Every time an operator reads a new revision of instructions, MOLI prompts them to confirm. That confirmation is an electronic signature, timestamped and tied to the specific revision, operator, kiosk, and job.

When your quality system requires a second signature, a supervisor certifies the record directly at the kiosk. Two authentications, one permanent record, zero paperwork.

![MOLI Training Verifications: an operator's signed acknowledgment of instructions and the supervisor certification form](https://www.perdixsw.com/static/literature/features_training-verifications/TrainingVerification.png)

MOLI Training Verifications replace manual sign-off sheets entirely, with detailed records and electronic signatures that satisfy audit requirements across regulated industries.

Camera behavior at verification and certification events is independently configurable — none, automatic snap, prompted photo, or both — for environments where photographic evidence of the event is required.

> **MOLI Digital Signage Integration** All uncertified training records appear on the "Uncertified Training" Digital Signage panel.

> **MOLI Smart Stacklight Integration** When training is uncertified at a workcenter, its stacklight color pattern includes BLUE

> **Email Integration** MOLI can send hourly emails listing all uncertified training verifications — to shift supervisors, a list of additional recipients, or both.

### Documentation & Records

Files of any age, exports in any format, and an audit log with no gaps.

#### MOLI Audit Log

_verifiable traceability across every change in the system_

**Know who changed what, when — without asking anyone.**

Every change to every record is logged automatically — who, what, when, where, and how.

When it's time for an audit, you're ready. No scrambling, no gaps, no exceptions.

![MOLI Audit Log: audit entries for an item revision listing timestamp, user, change comment, browser, and network location](https://www.perdixsw.com/static/literature/features_audit-log/Audit-Log-Potrzebie.png)

##### How It Works

On every Add, Edit, or other key change to information in the system, MOLI logs who made the change and what the change was, including the full context: their browser, IP address, and other key metadata.

Administrators can review and export audit log data to provide evidence of changes made.

PDF: https://www.perdixsw.com/literature/sheets/features/audit-log/pdf/

#### MOLI Data Export

_your data on your terms_

**Universal data export keeps your data accessible and re-usable.**

Everything in MOLI can be exported in a wide variety of formats, making your data accessible throughout the enterprise and freeing you from arbitrary format restrictions.

Easily export production data, quality records, and logs in a wide variety of formats to feed reports and other systems.

![MOLI Data Export: the blue Export dropdown button with a download icon](https://www.perdixsw.com/static/literature/features_export/Export-Button.png)

#### MOLI Files, Photos, and Videos

_hundreds of formats in, standardized and searchable out_

**Upload almost anything — MOLI converts, thumbnails, indexes, and makes it usable.**

From decades-old WordPerfect® files to this morning's Microsoft Word® Documents — photos, images, drawings, and videos — MOLI normalizes your content library without losing anything.

Embed and link content throughout the system and breathe new life into old files.

![MOLI Files, Photos, and Videos: a 1990 WordPerfect document rendered in the file viewer with its content type and file size](https://www.perdixsw.com/static/literature/features_files-photos-videos/Files-View-WP5-A.png)

MOLI's intelligent file processing subsystem preserves accessibility regardless of format or age. #### MOLI Information Classification

_markings, export control, and foreign-national awareness_

**Know what's sensitive. Everywhere it shows up.**

CUI, ITAR, NATO, or a simple Public / Internal / Confidential / Restricted scheme: apply a classification marking to any record in the system, from a Job traveler to a Form response to an uploaded drawing.

Once a record is marked, the marking travels with it: the right badge on every screen, the right banner on every printed page and PDF export.

![MOLI Information Classification: a CUI//SP-EXPT/PHYS//NOFORN marking banner with a red 1 Foreign National On-Site warning](https://www.perdixsw.com/static/literature/features_classification/ClassificationBanner.png)

##### How It Works

Any record can carry a classification marking under whichever scheme fits your environment:

CUI

U.S. National Security

NATO

Corporate

Export control is tracked as its own dimension, separate from classification level. MOLI tracks the applicable program — ITAR, EAR, OFAC sanctions, or nuclear-material programs under NRC 10 CFR 110 / DOE 10 CFR 810 — and, for ITAR, the specific USML category that applies.

All colors for U.S. National Security, NATO, and CUI markings follow the published conventions auditors expect.

##### Applies to Any Record — and Follows the Work

- Jobs, Items, Files, Forms and Form Responses — any record type in MOLI can carry a classification marking.
- Markings inherit and filter automatically: allows hybrid environments and automatic markings of related data.
- Guardrails keep markings consistent and prevent the application of invalid markings.
- Query and report on classification state and dissemination controls.

#### MOLI Safety Data Sheets

_SDS access where and when operators need it_

**Put Safety Data Sheets where they're needed, facility-wide.**

SDS are linked to the items and jobs that need them — searchable by all personnel, available at every kiosk.

No more binder hunts or out-of-date folders missing new sheets. Provide critical safety information and meet EHS compliance with ease.

![MOLI Safety Data Sheets: the SDS library in thumbnail view with PDF previews for acetone and isopropyl alcohol](https://www.perdixsw.com/static/literature/features_safety-data-sheets/SDS-List-Thumbnails.png)

##### How It Works

Upload your Safety Data Sheets to MOLI.

Link them to Items for contextual access, or simply attach them to a Kiosk to quickly create a dynamic EHS library.

### Devices & Peripherals

The kiosks, signals, cameras, printers, and scales that put MOLI where the work is.

#### MOLI Desktop App

_Install MOLI on the computers you already have_

**Already Have a Computer? Already Have a MOLI Terminal.**

MOLI Certified Kiosk and Mobile Devices are the right call for most workcenters.

But plenty of floors already have PCs or laptops — hardware that doesn't need replacing — or workflows that don't justify a dedicated kiosk.

The MOLI Desktop App installs directly on most existing computers and turns them into full MOLI terminals.

![The MOLI Desktop App running in its own window on an office computer](https://www.perdixsw.com/static/literature/features_fenestra/FenestraHero.jpg)

##### How It Works

The MOLI Desktop App opens directly to your MOLI System — running in its own window instead of your browser.

A browser can't talk to a serial port or USB devices on its own. The MOLI Desktop App can — bridging access to connected devices while operating alongside existing software.

- Camera.
- Scale Interface.
- Serial / USB Devices.

##### System Requirements and Installation Options

The MOLI Desktop App is built for each major desktop operating system and refreshed with every MOLI release.

**Microsoft Windows** (x86_64) version 10 or higher — Standalone EXE, Per-User Installer EXE

**GNU/Linux** (x86_64) — AppImage, Snap, Flatpak

**Apple macOS** (arm64) version 13 (Ventura) or higher — DMG Disk Image

> **Not a Replacement. An Option.** MOLI Certified Kiosk and Mobile Devices are the recommended path for most workcenters — purpose-built, tested as a system, and backed by warranty. The MOLI Desktop App exists for terminals you already own, so a hardware refresh is never a prerequisite.

PDF: https://www.perdixsw.com/literature/sheets/features/fenestra/pdf/

#### MOLI Integrated Photography

_capture visual evidence automatically_

**Evidence That Develops Itself.**

MOLI Kiosk cameras can take pictures or snap photos on selected operational, quality, and training events.

Visual records are linked directly to the activity that triggered them, building an airtight chain of evidence.

#### MOLI Integrated Printing

_every printed document automatically linked to the digital record_

> **Print-optimized layouts, Zebra printer support, and automatic physical-to-digital linking — built in.**

**Paper That Knows Where It Came From.**

Every document MOLI prints — from quality reports to barcode labels — carries a traceable link back to the digital record that generated it.

No reconciliation, no lost context: when someone picks up the paper, the full digital history is one scan away.

![MOLI Integrated Printing: a printed PDF item sheet with a QR code and barcodes for its item code, UPC, EAN, and HS code](https://www.perdixsw.com/static/literature/features_printing/PDF_Turboencabulator.png)

#### MOLI Production Kiosks

_where the physical world meets the digital — at every workcenter_

**A kiosk that knows the job.**

Paper travelers got you here.

MOLI Production Kiosks get you further.

Most software stops at the screen. MOLI connects to everything at the workcenter — barcode scanners, printers, measurement instruments, sensors, stacklights, and the machine itself — while staying fluent with your ERP, MES, QMS, and other key systems.

The right information at the right place, delivered to the right people at the right time — automatically — integrated. That's the MOLI advantage.

![An Elo touchscreen running MOLI: a paper airplane job in production, its rev. 2 work instructions, and a calculator](https://www.perdixsw.com/static/literature/features_production-kiosks/hero-production-kiosk.png)

> **MOLI Kiosks aren't just a browser pointed at a web app. They're complete workcenter terminals.** A web app knows your username. A MOLI Kiosk knows your name, your training status, the shift, the job, the machine, and more. It uses that context to present exactly the right interface, enforce exactly the right permissions, and capture exactly the right data — without asking the operator to re-enter information the system already knows.

##### MOLI Certified Production Kiosk Devices

#### MOLI Smart Stacklight

_real-time workcenter status across the production floor_

**A problem nobody can see is a problem nobody can solve.**

A machine's built-in andon light tells you whether the machine is running. It doesn't tell you whether anyone is logged in, whether an escalation is open, whether a production alert has fired, or whether the operator just failed a training assessment.

MOLI adds that layer — one tower, one pole, one cable — mirroring and augmenting the machine's native status, or adding status where none currently exists. Every workcenter speaks the same visual language, from injection molding presses to manual assembly stations. Everyone on the floor knows what's happening without asking. Auditors see a documented, standards-compliant system.

MOLI integrates natively with the Patlite LA-6 series programmable stacklight, providing enhanced at-a-glance workcenter status information that goes beyond machine alarms — and works without a machine, too.

##### How it works

###### Machine mirroring

On workcenters with a MOLI machine integration, the stacklight replicates the machine's native andon state. Machine red is MOLI red. Machine idle is MOLI idle.

###### Standalone andon

MOLI drives the stacklight directly from workcenter events — login state, alerts, escalations. Any workcenter, any operation — even stations with no machine.

###### Central dashboard

All stacklight states across the entire facility are visible in the MOLI Dashboard — supervisors anywhere on the network see what the floor sees.

##### MOLI Stacklight State Language — IEC 60073 standard

- Off:
- Green — Running:
- Red — Escalation:
- Lemon / Amber — Alert:
- Blue — Training:
- Purple — Quality:
- Mirrored Andon State:

##### Patlite LA6-POE

- 21 programmable LED colors; 11 selectable alarm styles, loudness up to 85 dB; 5 tiers
- Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af) or 48 V DC; IP54 (IEC 60529); UL 508, FCC, RoHS, EMC
- 60 mm diameter; HTTP, Modbus TCP/IP, and PNS protocols; mirroring up to 8 replicas per device
- Direct-mount (pole) and stationary (desktop platform) models; aluminum poles in 100, 300, and 800 mm; wall-mount bracket

##### What you need at each workcenter

- One LA6-5DTNWB-POE (or -DSNWB for stationary) — the tower itself
- Pole or mount accessory — selected based on machine geometry and visibility requirements; consulting included
- One PoE Ethernet cable run — a single cable carries both data and power
- A PoE switch (IEEE 802.3af) in your network infrastructure, or power injectors

##### Machines supported for mirroring

- Standalone andon mode — any workcenter, any machine, any process
- Arburg injection molding presses — via ALS / MQTT + REST modules
- EOS DMLS 3D printers — via EOSCONNECT
- Haas CNC machines — via MTConnect agent
- Other machines — if your machine has a network API, mirroring may be possible

> **Every deployment includes stacklight consulting — custom workflows are available.** Not every workcenter needs a stacklight, and the ones that do may need different states or behaviors. Every MOLI deployment includes consulting to identify which workcenters benefit and how to mount and cable the stacklight at each location. For operations with unique signaling requirements — takt time, process flows, level indicators — Perdix Software can build custom workflows.

#### MOLI Visitor Kiosk

_self-service visitor management — welcoming, compliant, and wired in_

**Every Visitor. Welcomed and Documented.**

A clipboard on a reception desk tells you a name and a company.

A MOLI Visitor Kiosk tells you citizenship, NDA status, the host who was notified, the photo on the badge, and the exact moment that person walked in — with a timestamped record to prove it.

From ITAR compliance to evacuation headcounts, MOLI connects visitor sign-in to the systems that need to know. The right welcome, the right paperwork, the right notification — automatically, every time.

![The MOLI Visitor Kiosk welcome screen on a lobby touchscreen](https://www.perdixsw.com/static/literature/features_visitor-kiosk/hero-visitor-kiosk.png)

##### MOLI Visitor Sign-In Flow

1. Welcome
2. Citizenship
3. Paperwork
4. Photo
5. Badge
6. Notify

##### Key Capabilities

###### Visitor Paperwork & eSignature

NDAs or any other documents can be presented and signed at the kiosk. Signatures and acknowledgments are stored with the visitor record and exportable for audit.

###### ITAR & Export Compliance

Citizenship is collected at sign-in and stored with the visitor record — giving facilities with ITAR or other obligations a documented, auditable checkpoint.

###### Host & Team Notifications

The moment a visitor begins sign-in, MOLI notifies the designated host — or the whole team — via email, SMS, voice call, or overhead page. No one left waiting.

###### Visitor Photo & Badge Printing

Capture a visitor photo at sign-in. Print badges to any connected label printer — with photo, name, company, date, and a barcode for sign-out.

###### MOLI Digital Signage Integration

Visitor activity flows directly into the Headcount Digital Signage — real-time attendance visible facility-wide, streamlining evacuations.

###### Coexists with MOLI Timeclock

The Visitor Kiosk and Timeclock can run on the same physical device — handling visitor sign-in and employee clock-in without compromise or conflict.

##### Why Not a Paper Logbook — or an iPad?

What the MOLI Visitor Kiosk provides that a paper logbook cannot, and that a consumer tablet with an app only partly can:

- Searchable visitor history and an exportable audit log
- Citizenship / ITAR capture
- NDA and eSignature at the kiosk
- Host notification by email, SMS, voice call, or overhead page
- Visitor photo and badge printing, and barcode sign-out
- Feeds the evacuation headcount display
- Shares hardware with the Timeclock
- Kiosk lockdown on a purpose-built OS, with no MDM certificate expiration risk
- Legible under any lighting conditions

> **About that iPad in your lobby…** Consumer tablets deployed as kiosks depend on Mobile Device Management profiles and Apple's certificate infrastructure to stay locked down. When those certificates lapse — or when connectivity hiccups prevent verification — the kiosk greets your next visitor with “Guided Access app unavailable. Please contact your administrator.” — and then dumps them to the home screen. MOLI runs on purpose-built industrial touchscreens under EloView®, a managed OS environment with no consumer app store in the chain. The MOLI Visitor Kiosk does its job on day one and on day one thousand.

##### MOLI Certified Kiosk Devices & Peripherals

Badge printing requires a connected Zebra printer. Sign-out scanning works with any attached Zebra scanner, the Elo Edge Connect barcode module, or the device camera for low-volume workflows. The MOLI Visitor Kiosk and MOLI Timeclock can share a single device with no additional licensing cost.

#### MOLI Weighing and Scales

_weight data captured at the source, organized by job, material, and device_

> **No transcription errors. No paper. Just accurate weight records tied directly to the job.**

**Built-In Digital Weighing**

MOLI interfaces directly with supported weighing devices — including OHAUS Scout hardware — creating Weight Logs automatically with pass/fail recording and comments.

Weighing operations with analog scales are fully supported in the same interface.

![MOLI Weighing and Scales: a touchscreen kiosk showing the Add Weight form and recent weights beside an OHAUS Scout balance](https://www.perdixsw.com/static/literature/features_weighing-scales/MOLIHero_WeighingDevice.png)

##### How It Works

MOLI Kiosks connect to supported weighing devices over USB or RS-232 Serial and provide an on-screen interface to zero and tare the scale, get the weight, and set various scale options including units and mode.

Weights can be saved to the Weight Log and carry the full context of who, where, when, and what job was loaded. Operators can also specify a lot number, comment, and pass/fail status along with the weight.

The same interface also supports adding weights to the weight log manually, without an attached scale.

### Platform & Security

Identity, access, and APIs that fit the way regulated plants already work.

#### MOLI Authentication and Authorization

_industry-standard identity and access for every context_

**The Right Identity and Access Control for Everybody.**

MOLI supports standard username and password + 2FA via TOTP, SMS, email, or voice code… alongside kiosk-native barcode, RFID, magnetic stripe, and employee ID options.

Robust authentication is supported by granular authorization controls, ensuring the right access is granted in the right way to the right people.

![MOLI Authentication and Authorization: a woman reads a code on her phone beside a laptop login screen](https://www.perdixsw.com/static/literature/features_multi-factor-authentication/MOLI_MFA_Gemini_Generated_Image_u9z3uxu9z3uxu9z3.png)

##### How It Works

- Standard MOLI Access
- Kiosk Access
- Multiple Sessions

##### Reauthentication Workflow

Sensitive operations trigger a re-authentication workflow — requiring logged-in users to re-verify before their action can proceed.

For example: a Kiosk user may need to scan their badge; an admin might need to enter their password.

##### From Access To Authorization

Once a person is authenticated, attention shifts to authorization — What are they allowed to do?

Permissions are granular and can be granted to specific People, Roles, or Groups.

Kiosk "Explicit Mode" limits permission scope to only the permissions necessary to run the prescribed functions of each kiosk.

##### Logon Hours

Access can be time-boxed as well as permission-boxed. Any Person, Role, or Group can be assigned a weekly Logon Hours schedule, restricting exactly which hours logon is permitted. A Person's effective Logon Hours combine their own schedule with those of every active Role or Group they belong to.

Login attempts outside permitted hours are denied and logged, and the person is informed why.

#### MOLI Personal API

_user-scoped API access with ready-to-run integration examples_

**Grant power users personal access to the MOLI API.**

Each API key ships with a pre-populated Bruno

™

API Client Collection scoped to its exact permissions — integration starts in minutes, not days.

Secure, auditable, and granular: give each integration exactly the access it needs and nothing more.

![MOLI Personal API: the Bruno API client running a MOLI collection GET request for a Job and showing its JSON response](https://www.perdixsw.com/static/literature/features_personal-api/PersonalAPI_003.png)

##### How it Works

- Power users can create Personal API Keys — each permission-scoped to a subset of their account permissions.
- Each key includes a downloadable Bruno

™

API Client Collection to test and develop against the API.
- API access via JSON or XML — same payload shape as the matching MOLI Export Format, so nothing is a surprise. Ask for either with

?format=

Accept
- Browsable API endpoints are easy to navigate and provide a consistent interface.

#### MOLI Single Sign-On (SSO)

_Unified Identity and Access Management_

> **Integrate with your existing identity provider — or let MOLI be the identity authority for your environment.**

**One identity. Every system. Managed in one place.**

Signing into MOLI via LDAP, or through OIDC / SAML-compliant identity providers like Microsoft Entra, Okta, Auth0, and KeyCloak is supported out of the box.

MOLI can also serve as your organization's identity provider, facilitating the use of one login credential across your organization's entire intranet.

![MOLI Single Sign-On: the User Directories page with MOLI's own directory and two active external identity providers](https://www.perdixsw.com/static/literature/features_sso/SSO-UserDirectories.png)

##### How It Works: MOLI as Identity Consumer

- MOLI's user directory is created as employees log in, with roles and user attributes mapped in configuration.
- Supported Protocols: LDAPS, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML 2.0

##### How It Works: MOLI as Identity Provider

- MOLI's user directory is made available for other services to consume.
- Supported Protocols: OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML 2.0

MOLI Deployments can also use both modes at once, authenticating users through an external Identity Provider while also providing a User Directory to downstream applications.

This makes the platform flexible enough to integrate with existing enterprise identity strategies while also powering secure authentication for newly built internal applications.

A joint meeting with Perdix Software and your IT practitioner will reveal the correct SSO strategy for your deployment.

### Integrations

MOLI runs alongside your ERP, QMS, and MES, and fills the gaps they leave on the floor.

#### MOLI Integrations

_cloud · on-premises · secure_

> **MOLI seamlessly connects to your other systems — amplifying the value of your data and eliminating manual entry.**

**Your systems, connected. Your data, entered once.**

MOLI seamlessly connects to your other systems — amplifying the value of your data and eliminating manual entry. Jobs and items flow in from your ERP; completed production, quality records, and documents flow back out to the systems that need them.

Every integration is built on one framework, so they are consistent to configure, maintain, and extend — and the catalog grows with every release.

##### Four ways an integration can run

- Broker
- Connector
- Flywheel
- Provider

##### What connects

ERP and MRP systems (jobs, items, job transactions), quality management systems, document management systems and libraries, machines and instruments, and payroll processors. Custom integrations beyond the standard catalog are available through MOLI Project Services.

PDF: https://www.perdixsw.com/literature/sheets/features/integrations/pdf/

#### MOLI Integrations: The MOLI Broker

_a lightweight local service for on-premises integrations_

**On-premises integrations — automatic, current, and secure.**

The MOLI Broker is a small background service installed on any server with network access to your ERP, DMS, or other on-premises system. It wakes on a configurable schedule, contacts your MOLI System over standard HTTPS, and performs a structured data exchange

For operations and quality teams: job data and documents stay synchronized automatically — no manual imports or exports. For IT: a single service to deploy, no inbound firewall rules, no VPN, nothing to babysit.

![The MOLI Broker icon](https://www.perdixsw.com/static/integrations/icons/molibroker-1024.png)

##### What the Broker Does

- Runs as a

persistent background service
- Wakes
- Downloads
- Queries
- Logs
- All traffic is outbound HTTPS only

## Deployment, Pilot Program, and Services

Each production location is one MOLI deployment. Licensing is per workcenter or machine, so the price scales with the size of the floor. Platform updates are scheduled around each customer's production calendar and existing shutdown periods.

### MOLI Pilot Program

_build · run · prove · deploy_

> **Start at your most pressing workcenters. Scale when the results prove it.**

**30 Days to Build. 90 Days to Prove.**

A MOLI Pilot Program is a structured, all-inclusive engagement that gets MOLI running at a focused set of workcenters — and runs it long enough to generate real ROI and operational data that's yours to keep.

We identify your most pressing quality and production issues, address them first, and then build on our results to justify and plan a full rollout.

![Two people looking at a MOLI touchscreen kiosk on a stand](https://www.perdixsw.com/static/img/photos/mike-and-steve-kiosk-tight.jpg)

#### How It Works

Every MOLI Pilot follows a similar two-phase structure, adapted to your operation:

- **30 Days: Build** — Discovery · Configure · Commission
- **90 Days: Run** — Operate · Measure · Iterate

During the

Build Phase

During the

Run Phase

#### What's Included

- Implementation Consulting.
- MOLI Software License.
- Training.
- Pilot Support.
- Pilot Hardware Loan.
- Priority Integration.

> **Pilot Fee Applied in Full to Your Rollout.** The entire cost of the Pilot Program is credited toward your full MOLI deployment. The Pilot Fee is a down payment on an outcome.

#### Funding Opportunities

Manufacturing productivity and top-line growth technology adoption projects frequently qualify for grant funding through state, federal, and local programs. A MOLI Pilot Program is well-positioned: a scoped engagement with defined deliverables, clear ROI objectives, and measurable outcomes.

- MEP (Manufacturing Extension Partnership)

FuzeHub

NextCorps

TDO
- State Workforce and Technology Programs
- What Qualifies

> **40–60% of Pilot Costs Are Frequently Reimbursable.** Perdix Software will work with you to identify applicable programs and prepare the supporting documentation.

#### Typical Pilot Engagement

Pilot Programs are priced by the number of workcenters included in the pilot scope and the length of the pilot.

The example below is a common starting point:

- **5 Workcenters** — Pilot Scope
- **$12,500** — All-Inclusive MSRP
- **120 Days** — 30 Build + 90 Run

The Pilot Fee includes consulting, implementation, licensing, hardware loan, integrations, training, and support for the full Pilot Engagement, and is credited in full toward a Full MOLI Deployment.

> **Scaled to Your Operation.** Pilots covering more workcenters, additional shifts, or specialized integrations are scoped and priced per engagement.

> **Association Members Can Save Up to 15%.** Active members of BNMA, LifeSciencesNY, MACNY, NextCorps, and RTMA receive up to 15% off applicable MOLI Pilot Fees.

### Implementation Consulting and Deployment

_Discovery · Configuration · Commissioning_

> **Your current processes are the starting point. A better version of them is the destination.**

**Digitalization. Not Just Digitization.**

Scanning your work instructions into a PDF is digitization.

Rebuilding them as live, interactive, version-controlled documents that guide operators step by step, capture data at each stage, and trigger notifications when something isn't right — that is digitalization.

Implementation Services exist to adapt your process to the digital medium. Your current processes — the documented ones and the ones that live in people's heads — become the blueprint for your MOLI deployment.

![Implementation Consulting and Deployment: screenshot](https://www.perdixsw.com/static/img/moli-seal.png)

#### MOLI Implementation Services Include

- Discovery.
- Template Development.
- Workflow Configuration.
- Integration Wiring.
- Commissioning & Go-Live.

> **Your Process. Your Deployment. Your MOLI System.** No two MOLI deployments are configured identically, because no two manufacturing operations are identical. Implementation is not a configuration checklist — it is a translation. We learn how your plant works, then build the version of MOLI that fits it.

PDF: https://www.perdixsw.com/literature/sheets/moli/services-implementation/pdf/

### Training Services

_Train-the-Trainer · On-Site · On-Camera_

> **Software you don't know how to use is not an asset. It is an expensive reminder to call us.**

**Close the gap between “installed” and “understood”.**

Perdix Software delivers MOLI training however your organization learns best.

The most common delivery model is train-the-trainer: Perdix trains your designated internal trainers, who carry that knowledge into your shifts. It is efficient, sustainable, and puts ownership of MOLI knowledge inside your operation — not dependent on us.

Other models supplement or burst training as needed.

![Training Services: screenshot](https://www.perdixsw.com/static/img/moli-seal.png)

#### Training Delivery Models

- Train-the-Trainer.
- Direct Operator Training.
- Administrator & Configuration Training.
- Shadowing.
- Video & Demo Production.

> **Train-the-Trainer: The Standard Model.** The majority of MOLI deployments use train-the-trainer as the primary delivery model — it is usually the most effective. Your trainers know your shifts, your language, your floor. We give them the knowledge. They then deliver it in context with our materials.

PDF: https://www.perdixsw.com/literature/sheets/moli/training/pdf/

### Additional Project Services

_Customizing · Extending · Building_

> **When the standard configuration isn't quite the right configuration.**

**The MOLI System. Extended for Your Operation.**

MOLI ships with a substantial library of modules, workflows, and integrations. Most deployments go live on the standard configuration. Some operations require something more specific — a custom integration with a legacy ERP, a specialty module for a unique production process. Project Services exist for those situations.

Project Services are scoped and priced per engagement — a defined scope, a defined deliverable, and a team that knows MOLI well enough to extend it without breaking it.

![Additional Project Services: screenshot](https://www.perdixsw.com/static/img/moli-seal.png)

#### What Project Services Cover

- Custom Integrations.
- Specialty Module Development.
- Signage, Reporting, and Dashboards.
- System Migrations & Data Transformations.
- Compliance Validation Packages.

> **Scoped. Priced. Delivered.** Project Services begin with a scoping conversation. We define what is being built, what it will cost, and what “done” looks like — before any work begins. If you have sketches or can make an Excel prototype those are useful inputs to the process.

### MOLI Software License Subscription

_Software · Servers · Support_

> **Comprehensive Software, Updates, Infrastructure, and Support for your MOLI System.**

**Your MOLI System. Revolving and Evolving.**

A MOLI Software License Subscription is not just an annual SaaS fee. The SLS includes your provisioned access to core feature and integration modules, dedicated server infrastructure, updates coordinated around your production calendar, round-the-clock system monitoring, and direct access to the software team.

## Security

### MOLI Security Overview

_private cloud · zero shared tenants · quantum-safe_

> **Perdix Software treats your confidential manufacturing data with care and control.**

**Security is architecture, not an afterthought**

Your proprietary manufacturing data represent years of investment — and real responsibility. You should be able to verify your deployment, control access, and expect the same standard of care from a vendor that you demand internally.

From physical controls to post-quantum cryptography, MOLI's security posture is active, layered, and proven.

- **1:1** — Dedicated server per customer
- **NIST PQC** — Post-quantum ready encryption

#### Protection at every layer

##### General Protection

A mutual NDA is signed with every customer before work begins. All Perdix employees sign NDAs and Invention Assignment Agreements upon hire and are subject to background checks. Employees are trained to treat all data as confidential; access to customer systems and data is granted strictly on a need-to-know basis. All access is terminated immediately on offboarding.

##### Physical Security

MOLI cloud infrastructure runs on Amazon Web Services — SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and FedRAMP-authorized data centers with biometric access controls, monitoring, and redundant power. Perdix offices use logged keyfob entry, a formal building sign-in procedure, a secure lockbox for printed material and removable media, and a fully isolated guest/device Wi-Fi network with no path to corporate infrastructure.

##### Identity & Access Management

MOLI supports Multi-Factor Authentication via TOTP app, security key, SMS, email, or voice call. Single Sign-On via OIDC is supported as both consumer and provider. On the floor, kiosk-optimized single-factor (employee ID, barcode, keyfob) minimizes friction while maintaining accountability. Role-based access control and Explicit Mode limit access to what is appropriate to that user at that location.

##### Dedicated Infrastructure

Every customer has their own private server — never a shared multi-tenant environment. Each deployment uses unique service keys for every external integration so a compromise in one deployment cannot reach another. Perdix staff have no routine access to customer infrastructure; access is granted to specific individuals for specific reasons at specific times only.

##### Network Access Controls

Network access to each MOLI server is restricted by customer-specific firewall rules at the infrastructure level. HTTPS is enforced on all endpoints; all traffic uses TLS 1.3 with forward-secret cipher suites. HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) and secure cookie attributes are enforced platform-wide. Inbound port exposure is minimized to only what is operationally required.

##### Software Development Security

All service keys and secrets are stored separately from source code. Source code is maintained in a controlled-access repository supporting multi-factor authentication. Every change undergoes formalized peer review and test suites are run before deployment. Developers have no routine access to customer data — access is granted only to diagnose specific issues in specific environments.

##### Software Bill of Materials

All third-party code is thoroughly evaluated before inclusion — license, history, and supply chain risk assessed by the designated Codemaster role. All code is pinned to specific versions, and served via private package infrastructure — eliminating the most common software supply chain attack vectors. A live SBOM Dashboard is available within each deployment for independent customer verification.

##### Audit & Compliance Logging

Every user action, configuration change, and system event is logged with who, what, when, and from where — persistently, in detail. Logs are available for export in standard, non-proprietary formats and surfaced in the MOLI dashboard for immediate review. MOLI's audit architecture is aligned with NIST 800-171, DoD CMMC, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and ISO 9001/13485 requirements for electronic records, signatures, and traceability.

##### Quantum-Safe Cryptography

MOLI server infrastructure protects your production data against “harvest now, decrypt later” attacks that may occur as quantum computer hardware matures. Using NIST post-quantum algorithms, TLS connections to your MOLI deployment can negotiate ML-KEM key exchange (FIPS 203) in hybrid mode alongside classical algorithms.

> **MOLI Private Cloud** MOLI Private Cloud is our term for customer-specific Layer-3 firewall rules deployed at the AWS infrastructure level that restrict all inbound traffic to your MOLI server to your approved IP address ranges — and nowhere else. When MOLI Private Cloud is active, your deployment is invisible to the public internet outside your facility, VPN, or other approved connections. There is no login page to discover, no endpoint to probe, and no attack surface exposed to scanning. It is one of the most effective single security controls available for a cloud-hosted system — and it is applied by default to every MOLI deployment. Your MOLI server answers only to you.

#### Additional Security Features

Additional customer-configurable security features include:

- Application Firewall:
- Content Filter:
- Countersign Toolbox:
- Malware Scanning:

#### Quantum-Safe Cryptography — Ready Now, Protected for What's Next

Quantum computers capable of breaking conventional RSA and elliptic-curve cryptography are not yet widely deployed — but the threat is real and the timeline is advancing. The attack vector of “harvest now, decrypt later” means adversaries can intercept and archive encrypted traffic today, then decrypt it retroactively once sufficient quantum hardware is available. Production records, intellectual property, and personnel data collected now can become exposed in the future if the encryption protecting them is not quantum-resistant.

MOLI deploys on Ubuntu 26.04 LTS Server, the first Ubuntu long-term support release to ship NIST's finalized post-quantum cryptographic standards as platform defaults. Secure HTTP connections to your MOLI deployment are capable of negotiating ML-KEM (FIPS 203) key exchange in hybrid mode alongside classical ECDHE — so data in transit is protected against both current classical attacks and future quantum decryption simultaneously. No action is required from your IT team; post-quantum negotiation happens automatically when both endpoints support it, and falls back gracefully when they do not. Support for Post-Quantum TLS is available in MOLI version 8.3.0 and higher.

- ML-KEM (FIPS 203) — key encapsulation
- ML-DSA (FIPS 204) — digital signatures
- SLH-DSA (FIPS 205) — hash-based signatures
- Hybrid TLS — classical and post-quantum simultaneously

#### Standards Alignment

- NIST SP 800-171 / DoD CMMC — controlled unclassified information and defense cybersecurity controls
- FDA 21 CFR Part 11 — electronic records, e-signatures, and audit trails
- FDA 21 CFR Part 820 — medical device quality system regulations
- ISO 9001 / 13485 — records management, document control, and nonconformance traceability
- AS9100 / IATF 16949 — aerospace and automotive quality records
- ITAR / EAR / C-TPAT — controlled data handling and need-to-know access
- AWS SOC 2 Type II / ISO 27001 — infrastructure-level security assurance
- NIST FIPS 203 / 204 / 205 — post-quantum cryptographic standards

#### Security Culture

This document is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute a warranty or guarantee of any specific security outcome or compliance determination. No technology or product can be completely secure. Security features, posture, and certifications are subject to change without notice.

- Co-Founder Steven L Smith and Principal Engineer Zach Kruchoski led security engineering on the Mykonos team at Juniper Networks — building enterprise-grade security appliances designed to protect web infrastructure from attackers
- The engineering team participates in hacker conferences and probes their own systems with the same adversarial curiosity
- A formal responsible disclosure program invites independent security researchers to audit the platform at any time
- Security incidents and near-misses feed directly into engineering retrospectives — findings are fixed, not filed
- All Perdix staff access to customer infrastructure is logged, time-bounded, and purpose-specific
- Third-party code is evaluated for supply chain risk before inclusion

### MOLI Software Bill of Materials (SBOM)

_transparent, verifiable supply chain information for every deployment_

> **Audit the software running on your MOLI System.**

**Every package, every dependency, every version — any time.**

MOLI's Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) dashboard supports software validation requirements in regulated environments without requiring manual inventory efforts.

View detailed release notes and a comprehensive inventory of first- and third-party code running on your MOLI System.

![MOLI Software Bill of Materials (SBOM): screenshot](https://www.perdixsw.com/static/literature/moli_sbom/SBOM.PNG)

#### How It Works

On the System Status screen, you can view the currently-running version's release notes, all past release notes, and detailed information about all MOLI and third-party software packages running on your MOLI System.

Third-party dependencies are thoroughly reviewed and approved by the MOLI Codemaster before inclusion in the software. Updates to each direct dependency, and key transitive dependencies, are included with every MOLI Release.

MOLI is pinned to the LTS (Long-Term Support) versions of our Operating System (Ubuntu) and Framework (Django).

> **The SBOM isn't just an artifact — it built your MOLI System.** Each package in the SBOM — whether proprietary MOLI Code or third-party / open-source code — was served to your MOLI System when it was built (or last updated) by a private package server: the MOLI Registry. The MOLI Registry houses authoritative copies of our MOLI Software builds as well as copies of all distributed third-party code, and distributes those packages at install-time to each MOLI System using the SBOM. This architecture insulates your MOLI System from several common types of software supply chain attack, insulates our build process from public cloud outages, and provides a repeatable build based on code of known provenance.

- Every active MOLI Alert appears on the Alerts panel of MOLI Digital Signage.
- A MOLI Alert can be scoped to specific workcenters, jobs, parts, roles, or individuals.
- The Notice severity level in MOLI Alerts is for persistent pinned information such as standing instructions and policy changes.
