MOLI Chat is built directly into every kiosk and desktop — direct messages, group conversations, and organization-wide channels, with no separate account or app required.
Conversations are linked to the same workcenter and job context as the rest of your production floor's activity logs — and are retained and auditable to the same standards.
How it Works
When enabled, a chat widget appears throughout MOLI. Messages arrive in real time, with optional sound and browser push notifications.
Conversations can be one-on-one or in admin-managed channels — including an automatic channel per organizational Group and a an all-personnel channel for company-wide announcements.
- Real-Time Delivery. Messages appear instantly across every open tab and kiosk session.
- Group & Channel Messaging. Admin-defined channels for teams, departments, and the whole organization.
- Push & Sound Notifications. Opt-in browser push and sound alerts, governed by an organization-wide policy with per-person opt-out.
- Retention & Audit. Configurable message retention, full audit trail, and export alongside MOLI's other communication logs.
Standards-Based, Not Locked In
MOLI Chat for Microsoft Windows is a lightweight application that brings the MOLI Chat experience to your team at their desktop or laptop computers. When not in use, the app minimizes to the system tray, ready to notify you when new messages arrive.
MOLI Chat also speaks XMPP, so your people can reach it from a general-purpose chat client if one is preferred or prescribed. Popular options include Gajim, Adium, Pidgin, Monal (iOS), and Conversations (Android).
